i watched the 5th estate show last night. fuck it was hard to watch & heartbreaking. i have even more respect for Brian than i did before. there is no way anybody can ever question or judge his character or integrity after seeing all the behind the "scenes" meetings he had. they were lucky to have had a person like him fighting for them. apparantly all the stress lead him to have a heart attack last month. i hear he's doing well & hope he has a full recovery.

oh ya, the full episode is available to watch online if anybody is interested. 1 of the supervisors Chuck that was interviewed was mine the last 3 yrs i was there. it was good to see that he stood with the workers when the rest of them wanted nothing to do with it & hid like a bunch of chicken shits that they are.

the drive in was alright. it fucken poured a few mins before the 1st movie started, then stopped til about 1/2 way & then stopped again. same thing happened during the 2nd. i'd like to go a few more times before summer is over.

was on afts last wk so i had a late start to my long wkend. my cousin had ice time on sat so i went & played 1 last time til oct. suppose to have started at 11:15 but the guy let us on at 10:30 & let us go til 12:30. came home after & had a few drinks. the new .05-.08 law makes me want to go to a bar even less. not sure how many that is etc.. but i don't need the bullshit of losing my licence for 3 days & having to pay $125 to get it back. losing the licence for 7 days on a 2nd offence & then 30. plus programs which i'm sure they make you pay for & an ignition interlock which you rent from them for 6 months. its a cash grab. 600 ppl they nailed in the 1st wk, you do the math.

my ma & john took us out for dinner on sun. it was for angies bday. played a bit of wii later on & hung out. angie & i are gonna try our best to hit up vegas in oct. lots of time to save for that & make it happen.

the wkend is over & back to work tomorrow mornin.

i think were going to try & get Green Day tickets. they're playing in Hamilton in july at Copps. i haven't seen em since 93 or so. they were still an opening band at the time & played with Bad Religion, Doughboys & Seaweed at the concert hall.

the other night, what a game the pens & caps turned out to be. all sorts of hype about crosby & ovechkin in this series. i'm usually skeptical when the media do this but fuck did they ever live up to it & then some. damn, each ended up with a hat trick & dominated the game.

work has been uneventful. really quiet & just the way i like it.

suppose to rain all wkend. shitty cause i wanted to go for a bike ride again. we did last wkend & were out for almost 3 hrs.

played hockey last night & it might just be the last time until the fall. it was a good game even though my skates were dull as can be. i think that night out on the pond did it & i havent been on em since. theres a league i might check out & play in next season. its pretty easy going & not full of attitude or crazy competitive. my cousin played in it this yr & he seemed to like it.

went on a bike ride today. started off here & made our way to dufferin islands. rode thru the trails & came back home. altogether we were out for a little over an hr. got a bit of sun too.

suppose to be on days today but i'm not going in. all damn evening i was tired as fuck & come time to go to bed, i'm wide awake & still wide awake. that hasn't happened to me in some time. oh well, it happens.

what a melt down in montreal tonight. price finally had enough & pulled a patrick roy. he raised his arms after an easy save to taunt the fans. the fans finally had enough & were boo'ing him loud as well as chanting carbo most giving it to gainey. a former player they gave up on burned em all season long & all 4 playoff games. the teams for sale & gainey might step down. not a good time to be a candiens fan.

the other day my mom came across a receipt from 1984 for our 1st vcr. she paid $599!!! holy fuck thats crazy & it wasn't even a high end model. she said those were at least 150 more. i recall paying close to $300 for my 1st cd player which was a kenwood single disk thing & to this day it still works. since then i've gone thru 2 technics 5 disk changers. quality don't mean shit these days.

my habs are sucking very badly. game 1 was close but last night, they got their ass handed to them. i think price's season is over & i'll be surprised if he's dressed for game 4.

the wheat kings got their asses handed to them too on fri & lost again today. the hitmen just might have their number this round.

there was a thing on cbc yesterday about how the US is gonna tighten up the border & its gonna be the same way it is at the mexico entry points. so that basically means i won't go into the states if i don't have to. as it is, the customs guards already treat us as if were criminals & i can imagine how more worse it will be. it was the same deal with the 911 situation. come on over, spend your $$ in NY state cause were going thru a tough time. we need a boost but we'll make you feel unwelcomed & don't really want you here to begin with when you try to cross into our country.

after all these years of skating, i finally own a pair of Vans half cabs. always liked the shoe but was too cheap to pay the $80 or $90 stores are chargin for them. on boxin day i saw a pair at winners in my size for $30. i finally got around to going back & surprisingly they were still there. blk & purple. i kinda wanted the neon green/blk but they werent in my size. only in 9's & 9.5 kinda shitty for whoever buys ems cause somebody stole the neon laces that came with em.
